What's covered at the event?
These events are organized around your questions. There are no themes, so each one will be completely different. That's part of the beauty.

Just about anything related to technology and the digital lifestyle goes. If you need help with an iPhone, or any phone for that matter, bring it with you. We can make recommendations for a digital home theater, help with a problem you're having on your computer, or even make recommendations for leveraging social media in your office.

Give it a try. We're sure you'll love it!

What if the experience stinks?
We're pretty confident that's not going to happen. As a matter of fact, if you're not 100% satisfied with the experience, we'll refund your ticket price. Just let us know right after the event and we'll take care of it.

Is there a web version?
We think the personal interaction is crucial to the experience. The serendipity involved – the participation in the other participant's questions will leave you with a breadth of information about technology!

Once we figure out how to duplicate that experience online, we'll have another look at it.

How do you choose locations?
We're open to suggestions. We need space for 30 people, and the facility must have a projector. If you know of a great space, let us know!

Why isn't it in my city?
We're new, and are focusing our efforts on providing the best possible experience for you. After the mechanics have been tried and tested, we'll begin offering this event in other cities across the country.

If you're tech savvy (not a one trick pony) contact Support with your name and a description of your talents, and where to find you. When we're ready for expansion, you just might get the call.

Are food/snacks provided?
The short answer is no. You're on your own for the meal. The longer answer is that we'll always host these events at a venue with food and drink available. If for some reason we choose differently, we will provide a simple food and drink solution.

Who is this for?
ModernTech101 is for the person that is interested in technology and doesn't know where to start. It's for the person that may not have a strong peer-support network for all things technology. In short, if you want to know more about technology, and the ins and outs of how things work, it's for you.

How long is it?
ModernTech101 events are two hours from start to finish. We'll be able to field questions from every person in attendance. If you have more than time will allow, we'll answer those questions on the site.

What should I bring?
It's going to be a jam-packed session, so bring your favorite note taking device (a laptop, phone, or pen and paper). Take great notes – we won't be providing take away sheets at the event. We may publish select questions (and answers) on the site at a later date.

Bring your laptop or device if you think it's relevant to your needs. Of course a 50" plasma TV is a bit much, but smaller devices are welcome.
